Singapore-based esports talent management agency EMERGE Sports has announced a partnership with short-form video social media platform TikTok.
As a result of the year-long agreement, TikTok will conduct workshops to onboard and familiarise EMERGE talent with the social media platform, this includes special coaching sessions on how to use the app optimally and producing effective content.
Moreover, EMERGE’s talent is expected to explore a variety of activations on the platform. Some of which includes talent features, gaming compilations, and game reviews.
According to the release, the partnership will look to support esports talent through ‘impactful video content’, whilst also creating more opportunities for creators to engage and interact with their communities.
Roy Kek, Chief Executive Officer of EMERGE Esports commented: “We are excited to be partnering with TikTok to explore different genres of content creation for our talents.
“The unique content sharing format on TikTok makes it the perfect platform to engage more gamers and esports enthusiasts in Singapore and in the region.”
The agreement also provides EMERGE talent with exclusive access to the TikTok Creator’s Marketplace, which is said to provide greater engagement on the platform.
Adds Doreen Tan, User & Content Operations Manager for TikTok Singapore added: “TikTok has provided many gaming brands and esports organisations with endless opportunities to showcase their unique stories and engage with gamers in fresh and creative ways.
“As the vibrant gaming and esports community continues to grow on TikTok, we look forward to collaborating closely with EMERGE Esports to enable the passions of local gamers with fun, quality content on our platform.”
Esports Insider says: TikTok has been a huge advocate of the esports ecosystem recently, especially in Asia, where it continues to build up an impressive roster of partnerships. For EMERGE Esports, this deal will provide its talents with the opportunity to further expand their social reach.
